I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Technology Ethics Center at the University of Notre Dame and a member of the Notre Dame-IBM Tech Ethics Lab. Starting in September 2024, I will be a postdoctoral research fellow on AI and Human Cognition at the Applied Ethics Center and the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.

I obtained a Ph.D. from the Department of Philosophy at the University of Connecticut in June 2022 under the doctoral supervision of Michael Lynch, Susan Schneider, and Heather Battaly. Prior to this, I received a BA in philosophy from the College of William & Mary in May 2017, graduating summa cum laude as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. In addition to my current appointment, I am a Future of Consciousness Fellow in the Center for the Future Mind at Florida Atlantic University.

My areas of specialization include Philosophy of Technology, Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence, Virtue Epistemology, and Computing Ethics. I also have teaching competencies in Normative Ethics and Philosophy of Religion. This website contains a description of my research projects and links to my published papers (the research page), an overview of my teaching experience and sample syllabi (the teaching page), a copy of my academic resume (the CV page), and an episode feed of my podcast Tent Talks, which features interviews with various academics (the public philosophy page). My PhilPeople page can be found here.
